Summer 2025 Information

Families now have the option to select Standard (full) program hours or “Core Hours.”  The Standard summer Camp Fairfax operational hours are from 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. The Core Hours camp option is available from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Both options provide the same opportunity to participate in the quality programming experiences offered in the Arts Studio, Exploration Station, and Sports and Games Arena, and participants will be able to participate fully in center field trips and meals.

Weekly fees will reflect the program hours you choose and are noted below under the Fees drop-down menu below.

Families will automatically be enrolled and charged for the Standard (full) operation hours for Camp Fairfax, unless the Core Hours option is selected.

If your family chooses to Opt-In to Core Hours, your selection of Core Hours will apply to all the weekly sessions your child is enrolled in throughout the summer. Once selected, you will not be able to change your child’s program enrollment between standard and core hours. If you have more than one child enrolled, you may make the same or a different selection for each child. For example, you may choose to opt-in to the Core Hours for both children, or you may choose to opt-in to the Core Hours for only one child.

If you select the Core Hours option, your child must be dropped off and picked up between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Late Pick-Up/Early Drop Off fee information is included under Fees. SACC/Camp Fairfax reserves the right to switch your child(ren)’s enrollment hours from Core to Standard hours after the 3rd early drop off and/or late pick up occurrence.

Instructions to Opt-In to Core Hours:
If your family decides to Opt-In to the Core Hours option, please log in to your SACC Registration Online account to view your child’s Camp Fairfax location and confirmed weeks of enrollment, located under the “Enrollments: Summer Enrollments” tab. It is very important to review the enrollment details as your child(ren) may or may not be enrolled for all weeks requested.

  • Find and select the “Program Hours Selection” button.
  • On the next screen, select the child and/or children that you wish to change the program hours for and select the “Change Program Hours to Core Hours” button. Please note, your selection will automatically apply to each weekly session.
  • Once you have updated your selection, a “Change of Program Hours Confirmation Message” will display on your screen outlining your pending selection. Please review the message and select OK.
  • Once you have clicked OK on the confirmation message, your account will be updated to reflect the changes made. An additional message will be displayed stating “Your account has been updated to reflect your selection. Please select OK.
