On April 11, 2023, the Board authorized the consideration of a Plan amendment for Dulles Suburban Center, Land Unit L, encompassing the northern portion of the Innovation Center Station. The Board asked staff to consider the proposed land use mix and density/intensity proposed for land areas within the study area. The proposed land use mixes for the land area seek to change the mix-use to primary residential use over the existing office and institutional use. The Board of Supervisors authorization for staff to include parcels that fall outside of the Countywide SSPA process (DR-001, DR-002, and DR-004)* within Land Unit L. The location of transportation improvements associated with the review of this study should be carefully considered to ensure adherence to the County’s Transit-Oriented Development Guidelines.
