DPWES has selected the following projects to spotlight with detailed information regarding background, benefits, and what to expect.

Long Branch North at I66 Stream Restoration Project Long Branch North at I66 Stream Restoration Project The project will restore approximately 2,400 linear feet of degraded channel of Long Branch and its tributaries between I-66 and Old Lee Highway. Providence District Accotink Creek
Old Courthouse Spring Branch at Ashgrove Historic Park Stream Restoration Old Courthouse Spring Branch at Ashgrove Historic Park Stream Restoration The project will restore about 2,000 linear feet of natural stream channel, replace the culvert under Ashgrove Lane and repair the trail. Paul Spring Branch at Sherwood Hall Stream Restoration Paul Spring Branch at Sherwood Hall Stream Restoration This project will restore about 12,000 feet of Paul Spring Branch and the North Fork of Little Hunting Creek, tributaries, stormwater outfalls and the floodplain within the stream valley between Mason Hill Drive, Sherwood Hall Road and Collingwood Road. Pike Branch at Wilton Road Stream Stabilization Pike Branch at Wilton Road Stream Stabilization The project will restore approximately 1,300 linear feet of stream channel in the Cameron Run Watershed. Franconia District Cameron Run
Pimmit Run at George C. Marshall Drive Stream Restoration Project Pimmit Run at George C. Marshall Drive Stream Restoration Project The project will restore approximately 2,000 linear feet of degraded natural channel of Pimmit Run and approximately 300 linear feet of outfall leading to it. Piney Run Tributary at Lamplighter Way Piney Run Tributary at Lamplighter Way The project will restore about 1,200 linear feet of natural stream channel and protect sanitary sewer infrastructure and private property near Lamplighter Way in Reston. Hunter Mill District Difficult Run
Potomac Hills Neighborhood Stormwater Improvements Potomac Hills Neighborhood Stormwater Improvements This project will evaluate existing drainage and stormwater infrastructure in the Potomac Hills neighborhood and recommend a solution to mitigate structural flooding and improve the resiliency of the drainage system. Ravenwood Park Neighborhood Stormwater Improvement Project Study Ravenwood Park Neighborhood Stormwater Improvement Project Study This study will utilize PCSWMM one-dimensional and two-dimensional integrated modeling to analyze stormwater management in the Ravenwood Park neighborhood of Falls Church. Rocky Branch at Hickory Hollow Lane Stream Restoration Rocky Branch at Hickory Hollow Lane Stream Restoration The project will restore approximately 3,818 linear feet of degraded natural channel of Rocky Branch and its tributaries between Hunter Mill Road and Hill Road.
