Chancery
The Fairfax Circuit Court Historic Records Center holds Chancery Court cases from 1803 to approximately 1937. Due to losses sustained during the Civil War, Fairfax County’s chancery cases are not complete.
Chancery cases are very useful for genealogical and land research purposes as they can include depositions, wills, deeds, and plats.
