Starting Monday, July 6, 2020, the Historic Records Center is open to the public BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please call 703-246-4168 or email CCRHistoricRecords@fairfaxcounty.gov to schedule a visit. At this time, tours of the 1799 Historic Courthouse remain SUSPENDED.
The Historic Records Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; barring holidays, inclement weather, or other events affecting the Court's operating status. Click here to view the operating status.
Fairfax Circuit Court Historic Records center is located at the intersection of Main Street and Route 123 in downtown City of Fairfax.

All visitors to the Historic Records Center are required to show a Photo ID when entering the building and go through a security screening. Visitors will be asked to turn on any electronic equipment they are bringing into the Historic Records Center.

The closest parking lot with accessible parking is located in front of the Massey Building on West Street as you make the turn towards Page Avenue. Overflow accessible parking spaces are in Garage B on floors 1-4. These lots fill up quickly in the mornings so please allow enough time when traveling to the Courthouse. In addition, please make sure you have your placard with the international symbol of accessibility hanging from your review mirror. If you do not have the placard, please make sure your vehicle is equipped with a special license plate as required by law. Vehicles not displaying proper credentials may be ticketed and/or towed.
