Community Engagement Forums for Community Center in Tysons

Tysons Community Center renderingOn May 3, 2022, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA), Amazon, APAH and Virginia Housing joined to announce the commitment of $55 million from the Amazon Housing Equity Fund to support the Dominion Square apartment community slated for development in Tysons. The development of Dominion Square will also incorporate a 30,000-square-foot community center on the site. The center’s developmental and recreational programs, services, and resources will be provided by the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS). 

In advance of the center’s opening, the county is engaging the community to ensure the new facility meets their needs and interests. NCS will host three upcoming community engagement forums to discuss the overall vision for the facility, potential resources, activities and programs.

Fairfax County Seeks Public Input Regarding New Community Center in Tysons

Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) is hosting a series of Community Engagement Forums regarding the upcoming Community Center in Tysons. On May 3, 2022, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA), Amazon, APAH and Virginia Housing joined to announce the commitment of $55 million from the Amazon Housing Equity Fund to support the Dominion Square apartment community slated for development in Tysons.
