Learn About the Braddock District at a Free Neighborhood College Program

The Braddock District community is invited to learn more about Fairfax County Government and issues important to the area at the Braddock Neighborhood College program that begins in March.

The free, six-session certificate program will feature guest speakers, interactive activities, breakout room discussions, networking opportunities, and information about advisory boards and other volunteer opportunities.

Braddock Neighborhood College graduates will:

  • Learn how Fairfax County Government works and how to get involved.
  • Understand demographic profiles and trends within a community context.
  • Explore topics that impact the social and economic well-being of the neighborhoods and communities.
  • Apply principles and strategies for inclusive community engagement and outreach.
  • Enhance leadership and problem-solving skills to improve neighborhood livability.

The program is sponsored by Braddock District Supervisor Rachna Sizemore Heizer in partnership with Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS).
