In March 2026, the Board of Supervisors dissolved the Coordinating Council on Aging and Adults with Disabilities (CCAAD) as part of a broader restructuring of advisory bodies. The Council’s mission to identify needs and advance solutions for older adults and adults with disabilities continues through existing county resources, including the Fairfax Area Commission on Aging which advises on policies affecting older adults, and the Disability Services Board (DSB), which advocates for accessibility and inclusion for residents with disabilities.
