Registration

The words Now Enrolling SACC and Beyond the Bell School Year 2026-2027 Registration Begins July 2026 SACC and Beyond the Bell School Year 2027-2028.

Enrollment dates are set alphabetically by the elementary school your child(ren) will attend. View dates under the enrollment tab below.

School Age Child Care (SACC) offers before-and after-school care for children attending kindergarten through sixth grade in most Fairfax County public elementary schools. Children with special needs are fully included in all SACC centers. In addition, programs at Key and Kilmer centers serve youth, ages 5-21, with multiple types of disabilities.

SACC is committed to nondiscrimination and inclusion in all programs, services and activities.

Beyond the Bell is a before- and after-school program for children attending kindergarten through sixth grade, offered in partnership with Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Following a 2025–26 pilot at 20 schools, Beyond the Bell will expand to additional elementary schools as part of a phased transition from the School Age Child Care program (SACC). Beyond the Bell operates under Virginia's regulations for school-age child care programs offered by local governments and staffed by local government employees. While it is regulated differently than traditional licensed child care centers, it maintains Fairfax County's long-standing commitment to safety, quality, staff training and enriching experiences for children.

Although Beyond the Bell is a separate program, enrollment, waitlist and billing/payment will still be managed through the SACC registration system.

SACC and Beyond the Bell are currently enrolling for School Year 2026 – 2027 and 2027 - 2028.

Enrollment dates are set alphabetically by the elementary school your child(ren) will attend.
