On April 11, 2023 the Board of Supervisors (Board) authorized a Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the Reston Transit Station Area (TSA) Study (2023-III-6UP) as a Tier 3 item. On July 25, 2023, the Plan Amendments in the Reston TSA were reauthorized and moved to Tier 1 on the work program. On June 10, 2025 the Board re-authorized the Reston TSA Study to add five Plan Amendments, resulting in a total of fourteen Plan Amendments in the Reston TSAs.
The 8.1 acre subject area is located in the Reston East Non-TOD District of the Wiehle-Reston East TSA at 10800 Parkridge Boulevard between Sunrise Valley Drive and the Dulles Toll Road. It is developed with a two-story office building constructed in 1984 with surface parking. The nomination proposes the addition of a residential neighborhood featuring townhomes and/or stacked townhomes.
This SSPA is part of the Reston East Study Area.
