On May 1, 2018 the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Comprehensive Plan amendment for Lewin Park (Tax Map Parcels 91-1-((4))1 through 11, 13-25, 500 and 501) in Land Unit U of the Franconia-Springfield Transit Station Area, in the Springfield Planning District, Franconia Supervisor District.
The adopted Plan for this area recommends residential use at 1-2 dwelling units per acre with an option for office and/or hotel with support retail uses at up to 1.5 FAR. The Board requested that staff consider substitution of up to 300,000 square feet of residential uses in the development option for the land unit.
