Non-Office Building Repurposing

Policy Plan Amendment
On December 5, 2017 the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Comprehensive Plan amendment for Non-Office Building Repurposing as a follow-on motion to the approval of the Office Building Repurposing PA 2016-CW-4CP, which established guidance in the Policy Plan portion of the Comprehensive Plan that provides Plan flexibility to facilitate repurposing of vacant, partially vacant, or underutilized existing office buildings.
The proposed Plan amendment would create additional Policy Plan language in support of non-office building repurposing to ensure that flexibility exists to consider the substitution of other compatible land uses in existing retail/commercial structures.
