Summer 2026 Information

Families now have the option to select Standard (full) program hours or “Core Hours.”  The Standard summer Camp Fairfax operational hours are from 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. The Core Hours camp option is available from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Both options provide the same opportunity to participate in the quality programming experiences offered in the Arts Studio, Exploration Station, and Sports and Games Arena, and participants will be able to participate fully in center field trips and meals.

Families will automatically be enrolled and charged for the Standard (full) operation hours for Camp Fairfax, unless the Core Hours option is selected.

If your family chooses to Opt-In to Core Hours, your selection of Core Hours will apply to all the weekly sessions your child is enrolled in throughout the summer. Once selected, you will not be able to change your child’s program enrollment between standard and core hours. If you have more than one child enrolled, you may make the same or a different selection for each child. For example, you may choose to opt-in to the Core Hours for both children, or you may choose to opt-in to the Core Hours for only one child.

If you select the Core Hours option, your child must be dropped off and picked up between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Late Pick-Up/Early Drop Off fee information is included under Fee Schedule. SACC/Camp Fairfax reserves the right to switch your child(ren)’s enrollment hours from Core to Standard hours after the 3rd early drop off and/or late pick up occurrence.

Please Note: The option to enroll for core hours will no longer be offered after Camp Fairfax Summer 2026. Effective Camp Fairfax Summer 2027 all enrollments will be for the standard full day program.

Registration for the Summer Camp Fairfax program will begin in March. A staggered enrollment process will be available alphabetically by the Camp Fairfax elementary school (ES) and/or community center name:

  • Beginning Tuesday, March 17:
Sites beginning with letters A - F (Aldrin ES – Franklin Sherman ES)
  • Beginning Wednesday, March 18:
Sites beginning with letters G - K (Glen Forest ES – Kings Glen ES)
  • Beginning Thursday, March 19:
Sites beginning with letters L - O (Laurel Hill ES – Oak View ES)
  • Beginning Friday, March 20:
Sites beginning with letters P - W (Pine Spring ES – Woodlawn ES)

Families wishing to request services at multiple sites will need to request services during the applicable enrollment dates for each desired location. All families, including those previously enrolled and/or waitlisted for Camp Fairfax services, will need to register each year for their desired Camp Fairfax school-based or community-center based location and weekly sessions.

Families may request services by phone or online.

By phone: Families may call 703-449-8989, TTY 711. Phone lines will open at 8 a.m. and are open Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., except holidays.

Online: Online Registration is available through the SACC Registration Online website.

Families new to the program can access SACC Registration Online to create an account. If you do not currently have an account and wish to create one, please note it may take up to five days for your account to become active. Once your account is active, you may submit a request for services beginning at 8 a.m. on the registration date of your desired school or community center location.

Families with an existing account may login beginning at 8 a.m. on the registration date of your desired school or community center location and request services for Camp Fairfax 2026 weekly sessions. Please do not log in to the system prior to 8 a.m. If you are in the system prior to that time, you will need to refresh your browser.

Medication
Please provide any required medication and the appropriate medication authorization form.

Health and Safety
Camp Fairfax centers are required to have accurate and up-to-date emergency information for all children. This information is part of the NCS School Age Programs Participant Information Form (pdf) which parents/guardians must complete for each child enrolled. Contact information is required for at least two persons who may pick up your child in the event of an emergency if you cannot be reached. Children will be released from Camp Fairfax only to the persons listed on their Child Information for SACC/Camp Fairfax Records form as parents/guardians, emergency contacts or authorized pick-up persons. Any authorized pick-up person unfamiliar to the center staff must show photo identification. Children will not be released to walk home alone.

Current Families
If your child is enrolled in before school, or after school SACC during the school year, a copy of your child's NCS School Age Programs Participant Information Form (pdf) and School Entrance Health form and immunization record will be transferred to your summer program site. Please see your center staff to verify that the information on the Child Information for SACC/Camp Fairfax Records form is accurate and up-to-date, and to verify that both copies of the form have an original signature.

New Families
If your child does not attend SACC during the school year program, but is enrolled in the Camp Fairfax Summer program, you will need to provide Camp Fairfax with a copy of your child's School Entrance Health form and Immunization Record, a completed NCS School Age Programs Participant Information Form (pdf), and show proof of your child's identity (birth certificate, report card, passport or Social Security card).
