Subscribe to the Fairfax Recycler

The Fairfax Recycler is an electronic notification system designed to inform subscribers of Fairfax County recycling events and news items from the Fairfax County Solid Waste Management Program. The Fairfax Recycler goes out to subscribers at least monthly – with more editions possible as new information becomes available.

We encourage all residents to take advantage of this electronic notification system by following the subscription instructions below:

  1. Go to
  2. Enter the email address you would like notifications sent to in the box provided.
  3. Scroll down to the category “Public Works & Utilities
  4. Click on the left circle next to the listing “Recycling Information for Fairfax County residents” to subscribe.
  5. Click “Continue”
  6. Make your selection related the inclusion or exclusion of your email address in responses to requests made in accordance with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.
  7. Select “Subscribe/Unsubscribe”
  8. You will receive a confirmation email after subscribing to these electronic newsletters. In order to complete the process, you must reply per the instructions. This will confirm your subscription.
