Trash/Recycling Cart Request

Veteran's Day Schedule - November 11, 2025

  • Trash and recycling collection will operate on the regular schedule for Tuesday, November 11, 2025 (Veteran's Day). If you have private collection, please contact your hauler.
  • Our administrative office will be closed, Tuesday, November 11. The office will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12.
  • The Recycling and Disposal Centers at the I-66 Transfer Station and the I-95 Landfill Complex will remail OPEN on Tuesday, November 11.

To report a damaged or missing trash or recycling cart, please complete the information below. The county provides collection customers with one trash cart (95-gallon) and one recycling cart (95-gallon) per residence.

If you would prefer to submit your request over the phone, please call 703-802-3322, TTY 711.

If your cart is damaged, please leave your cart out on your day of collection so that our repair technician can access it.
