Announcements

Yard Waste Delays

Please note we have several Contractors along with our Fairfax County Yard Waste Crews on routes collecting yard waste in compostable paper bags, small bundles, and rigid carts of yard waste. Please be advised of the following yard waste updates.

We have started yard waste collection for Thursday customers on Friday, October 22, 2021. We will continue to service Thursday routes until all customers are complete. Upon completion of Thursday routes, we will begin with Friday customers.

Please continue to place your yard waste at the curb/street line so that we can collect when crews are able to come through your neighborhood.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

To receive email updates, subscribe to Fairfax County Trash Collection E-Updates.

Effective July 1, 2021, free special pickups will be limited to 2 cubic yards of Freon, brush, bulky waste, electronic waste, and metal. There will be a charge to remove piles greater than 2 cubic yards. Visit Special Pickup for service details.
