Veteran's Day (November 11, 2025)
In observance of Veteran's Day, county administrative offices are closed Tuesday, November 11. The I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill Complex disposal centers will both be open regular hours on these days. Recycling and Trash Waste Collection Service
If you are experiencing problems with timely and reliable recycling and trash waste collection, please check with your collector’s website for notices on any changes in collection frequency or scheduled days of collection. Also look for information on how to receive service when collections are missed. If you have additional questions or concerns, let us know at trashmail@fairfaxcounty.gov. Be advised most private collectors will respond faster about their services than our Solid Waste Management Program personnel.
