English and World Language Conversation Groups

Want help practicing your English? The library offers English conversation groups at most of our 22 branches, with levels from beginner to intermediate and advanced. Many branches also offer one-on-one practice sessions with a conversation partner (registration required). Some branches also offer conversation groups for other languages. To find one, visit librarycalendar.fairfaxcounty.gov and choose “Learning English” or “Languages Other than English” under “View Programs by Type.” If you’re interested in volunteering to lead or help with one of these groups, contact your local branch or search for current volunteer opportunities at research.fairfaxcounty.gov/volunteer.
