In its 250-year history, the United States of America has witnessed countless movements that have fought to secure rights, respect and acceptance for all who call the nation home. From emancipation to suffrage, the civil rights movement to LGBTQIA+ activism, discover and celebrate the voices of those who sought to ensure that the U.S. was truly a place where everyone had the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” with programs and resources at a library branch near you.
