Library FAQs is a searchable webpage with answers to frequently asked questions as well as information staff feels is important for library users to know. 

Questions may be submitted to our staff through an online submission form found here or by emailing wwwlib@fairfaxcounty.gov. Submitted questions will be answered as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that a response may take a few days.

 

 

Phone and In-Person

Library users can ask questions of staff in real time by calling or visiting the information desk at any of our 23 branches during operating hours. A complete list of phone numbers and operating hours for our branches can be found on our Branch Locations and Hours page. 

Library users can also contact library administration from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday via phone at 703-324-3100, TTY 711.

Fairfax Virtual Assistant

For general county website assistance, Fairfax Virtual Assistant is Fairfax County Government’s AI-powered chat tool available online for website visitors to use 24/7. Accessible on most fairfaxcounty.gov web pages by clicking the speech bubble icon on the lower right corner of your screen, users may ask questions in the chat box and the tool will provide links to Fairfax County webpages that may be of assistance.
