Sully DistrictMaggie Godbold, was appointed to the Fairfax County Park Authority Board in 2016, and re-appointed in 2020, by Sully District Supervisor Kathy Smith to serve as the Sully District Representative.
Godbold serves as the vice chair of the Park Authority Board. She also serves as chair of the Resource Management Committee and as vice chair Administration and Board Management and Diversity and Succession Committees. She also serves as liaison to the Fairfax County Environmental Quality Advisory Council.
Godbold is a retiree and active community volunteer. Before she retired, she worked as a certified project management professional and was a consultant providing system engineering and management services for the federal government. Over the years she led several teams in assisting the government with large systems development and maintenance. She has worked for several firms throughout her career including Scitor Corporation, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and Veridian Information Solutions.
Godbold grew up in Northern Virginia and has been a resident of the Sully District of Fairfax County for over 30 years, currently residing in Oak Hill, VA. She is an avid birdwatcher and environmentalist, and an amateur musician. She is passionate about increasing access to the outdoors and arts for all Fairfax residents.
Godbold's term ends December 2027.
