The state enabling legislation requires the County to maintain an A&F District Advisory Committee (AFDAC), consisting of a combination of agricultural and non-agricultural landowners, the County’s chief property assessment officer, and one member of the local governing body. The Fairfax County AFDAC meets several times a year to review and provide recommendations to both the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors on applications for establishment or renewal of districts.
