Trash and recycling collection will operate on the regular schedule for Monday, January 20, 2025 (Martin Luther King Jr.’s Day and Inauguration Day). If you have private collection, please contact your hauler.
Our administrative office will be closed, Monday, January 20. The office will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 21.
The Recycling and Disposal Centers at the I-66 Transfer Station and the I-95 Landfill Complex will both be open on Monday, January 20.

The I-66 Transfer Station and the I-95 Landfill Complex disposal centers are open regular hours.
Natural Christmas trees will be collected from January 8 to 22, 2025 for recycling. Lights, decorations, and stands must be removed to ensure collection. After January 22, please schedule a brush Special Pickup to have the natural Christmas tree removed. Fairfax County residents can drop off their trees at the I-66 Transfer Station or the I-95 Landfill Complex. There is a fee to recycle your tree.
