All Fairfax County Public Library branches and offices are closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. 

• If you are in need of a cool place to escape the heat while our library branches are closed July 3-4, the Jim Scott Community Center has now been opened as a 24/7 cooling center, remaining open continuously until Sunday, July 5, at 8 a.m.

Culmore Library is closed for HVAC replacement and is expected to reopen in January 2027.
