Due to an ongoing archival project, advance notice is required to review criminal files dated between 2000 and 2004. Please use the File Review Request Form to request the file.
When you submit a request, our staff will locate and prepare the file for review. You will be contacted once the file is available. Please note that retrieval times may vary depending on the volume of requests and the status of the processing project.
Criminal case files will be held for no more than ten business days after notification of availability, to allow you time to come in and review. More current files are available for review at the Fairfax County Courthouse. Files will be located in the Criminal Division on the 4th floor in Suite 409.
Note: JV file requests require ID and that you are either guardian, guardian ad litem, defendant, attorney of record or commonwealth attorney.
