Uncontested matters may be heard at 9:00 a.m. & will be set with a Judge. Parties may no longer set hearings at 9:00 a.m. without a Judge. Contested matters will be set at 10:00 a.m. for civil action cases & 11:30 a.m. for domestic cases.
Fairfax Circuit Court has specific procedures for civil motions heard on Fridays. The only motions that will be heard on a Friday Civil Motions Day are those that can be argued by both sides in a total of 30 minutes or less.
The Friday Motions Day Praecipe (yellow) and Response/Opposition to Motions (green) may be filed in-person with the Case Status Team in Suite 321 or (if eligible) efiled through File and ServeXpress.
