Working Title: Rec-PAC Area Supervisor
Status: G Status (Maximum 40 hours per week/900 hours per calendar year)
Pay Rate: Starting at $20 per hour.
Position Summary: The Area Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Rec-PAC area that they have been assigned to.

Rec-PAC CIT/Scholarship Coordinator
Salary: $20 per hour
Position Description: This position, located at the Herrity Building, consists of office duties in support of Fairfax County Park Authority Rec-PAC Program. These duties include, but are not limited to: receiving customer inquiries via phone calls, retrieving voicemail messages, returning calls in a timely manner, handling customer requests and inquiries, approving refunds, handling age waivers, making calls for camp cancellations, assisting registration unit as needed, assisting in preparation and delivery of counselor trainings, working with contract partners, sending out rosters to site Directors, attending meetings as assigned, site staff to problem solve issues that arise. This position is directly supervised by the Rec-PAC Program Manager. Serve as a liaison between staff and parents of CIT’s. Registers and assigns CITs to site locations. Keeps up to date with CIT placement chart. Assists with CIT training, providing CITs with manual and shirts. Works with Program Manager on all CIT issues at sites.
In addition to the CIT responsibilities, the CIT/Scholarship coordinator will also oversee all partial scholarships for Rec-PAC. This will include, attending events to promote Rec-PAC and the scholarship program, verifying all scholarship eligibility requirements, entering information into RecDyamics database and entering registrations that come into office, as well as other duties assigned.
Summary: This position will serve an important role which will ensure Rec-PAC and the Park Authority is compliant with county and state regulations, which if not complied with could result in large fines or other consequences. Therefore, this position is vital in ensuring Rec-PAC has enough CIT’s and that all customers are able to register for the Rec-PAC Program.
Work Hours and Location: Rec-PAC Office at the Herrity Building, 12055 Government Center Pkwy, Suite 425, Fairfax, VA 22035
January – September: 40 hours per week
*(Depending on hours left, employee may be transferred to RecCenter for offseason) Employee may not go over 900 hours a year per county regulations, G status. Some evenings and weekends are required for events and trainings.
