Circuit Court Alert:
December 11, 2025
Fairfax Circuit Court’s innovative free web-based platform, eCaseSearch (ECS) had over a million hits of web traffic in its first year since launching July 1, 2024. As of November 2025, ECS is averaging over 45,000 searches and 40,000 unique users per month.
eCaseSearch is a free web portal developed by Fairfax County offering 24/7 access to non-confidential case information for civil and criminal cases in the Fairfax Circuit Court. This information was previously accessible via subscription service or through in-person visits to the Fairfax County courthouse.
“Access to public safety information should never be limited to only those of means” said Clerk of Court, Chris Falcon “eCaseSearch has improved accessibility, reduced time waste to our busy Fairfax residents and is delivering greater transparency to our judicial system.”
The program was created in-house by the Fairfax Circuit Court Information Technology team in partnership with Fairfax County Department of Information Technology, at no additional cost to taxpayers. In addition, the developers and court staff leant their native language skills to translate eCaseSearch into Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, Arabic, Mandarin and Amharic. “A true testament to the incredible diversity on display in Fairfax County” added Falcon.
eCaseSearch is accessible anytime 24/7 at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/apps/ECS_Public.
