Overview
Sealing a criminal record means most people can no longer see it. A sealed record at the Central Criminal Records Exchange (CCRE), any court, any police agency, or the DMV can only be shared for a few special reasons. Background check companies are also not allowed to share information about a sealed charge.
For more information regarding Criminal Records Sealing, please see:
Petitions for Criminal Records Sealing are filed in Civil Intake, Suite 319.
