The first hole presents a comfortable start to the golf course. A medium length par 4 that begins with a tee shot slightly downhill to a landing area protected on the left by native grasses and large and deep sand bunker. Gentle rolls and two small bunkers past the landing area define the right side of the hole. A solid tee shot aimed at the old silo often gains several extra yards of roll and offer the best second shot to the green, which is guarded by a series of small bunkers on the left. The green is open in the front and on the right, but contains several rolls and grass hollows to make for exciting recovery shots that miss the putting surface. The putting surface is divided by subtle undulations, creating numerous exciting pin placements.
