Rec Center General Rules

Park Authority employees and authorized volunteer staff have been trained and are obligated to enforce these rules and regulations. Failure to abide by these rules may also result in violators being ejected from the facility immediately and prohibited from future use of park property, facilities or services.

  1. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times outside of the locker rooms and pool area.
  2. This is a shared space; customers must conduct themselves in a manner that ensures the safety and comfort of all users and staff.
  3. Only service animals are allowed inside the Rec Centers.
  4. Fairfax County Park Authority is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
  5. Gender neutral/family changing rooms are available for those in need.
  6. All Rec Center customers must enter and leave through the designated public entrance/exit.
  7. All Rec Center customers must check in at the front desk.
  8. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on park grounds or in the Rec Center without a pre-approved permit in accordance with Virginia state law.
  9. Only Fairfax County Park Authority staff, instructors, and personal trainers performing within the scope of their duties may train or instruct clients or customers. No unauthorized personal trainers, instructors, coaches or physical therapists are allowed to use Fairfax County Park Authority facilities to train or instruct clients or customers.
  10. Rec Center customers will abide by all posted signage.
  11. Anyone 5 years of age or older must pay an admission fee, use a pass, or check in under a contract to enter fee areas.
  12. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied and directly supervised by a person 16 years or older at all times.
  13. All youth groups must have 1 chaperone for every 8 children. Chaperones must be 16 years or older and must pay to enter fee areas.
  14. The actions and conduct of an organized group are the responsibility of the group leader. Misconduct of individuals may result in dismissal of the group.
