twin lakes golf course scorecard

Par 5

Hit your tee shot down the left side of the fairway. The trees on the right will certainly cost you a stroke and the fairway slopes in that direction. The second shot needs to be precise, from this side of the creek you only have 150 yards to the green.

Oaks hole 1

Oaks hole 1

Par 4

Playing from the correct tees is paramount on this tee shot. From the white marker you have a forced carry of almost 200 yards. The uphill second shot will require at least one extra club.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 2

Par 4

Length is not as important as accuracy on this short par four. This approach is also uphill to a very narrow green front to back, so distance control is more important than direction.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 3

Par 4

Aim down the right side unless you have the length to clear the bunker. Left of the bunker is rough and your approach may be blocked by the trees. The green slopes severely from back to front.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 4

Par 3

This well protected tee can be misleading. The wind can be stronger than it feels.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 5

Par 4

Precision is more important than length. Favor the left side of the fairway. A far right hole location will be blocked from the right. Missing long on your approach will almost certainly cost you a shot.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 6

 Par 4

OB left, and woods right demands accuracy off the tee. The approach is downhill and will play at least one club shorter than the yardage.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 7

Par 3

When the hole is on the left, this is a simple par three. When the hole is on the right, it is one of the most difficult placements on the course.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 9

Par 4

If there is a tailwind on this hole, long hitters can let it fly. The approach is slightly uphill but very straightforward to this large, deep green. A definite birdie hole.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 9

Par 4

Long hitters be aware that the water comes into play sooner than you think. The long second shot to this well protected green is considered one of the most challenging on the course.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 10

Par 4

Play your tee shot to a comfortable approach distance on this short par 4. There are bunkers short and right, OB left and trees everywhere.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 11

Par 3

The prevailing right to left wind will try to push your tee shot into the bunkers on the left, so aim a little right. With little or no wind this is a very accessible short par three.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 12

Par 4

A challenging driving hole. The perfect tee shot is down the left side. The long narrow green and the slight downhill approach makes proper club selection critical for the second shot.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 13

Par 5

This long uphill par 5 is a definite three shot hole. Favor the right side of the fairway off the tee. On your second shot, hitting one more club and favoring the left side of the fairway is a good strategy. Try to leave yourself your ideal yardage for your third shot.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 14

Par 3

On a typical day you will get some help from the wind on this long par 3. If the wind is in your face... good luck. The green is long and has a severe right to left break.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 15

 Par 4

One of the prettiest holes on the course. Aim down the right side of the fairway. A miss left will most likely end up in the bunkers or worse, as the fairway slopes in that direction.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 16

Par 4

To have a reasonable chance at a birdie, you must hit the fairway on this short par 4. From there, the green is very accessible. A missed approach left or long can derail a good round.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 17

 Par 5

A great finishing hole. The fairway is well protected by the trees left and the water right. The second shot should favor the right side which will open up the green for the approach.

Oaks hole 1

oak hole 18

Par 4

Aim down the right side to the sloping fairway. The large tree on the left will block approach shots from the left rough making the best approach to the green from the right. For the second shot, be sure to take the change in elevation into account. The shot plays shorter than the yardage.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 1

Par 4

Long hitters will need to play an iron from the tee as the fairway runs out at about 250 yards. Aim well left as the fairway slopes steeply towards the water and the rough can be relatively thin. The downhill lie from the fairway to an elevated green makes the green hard to hold and encourages a slice towards two large bunkers and the stream on the right.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 2

Par 4

Grip it and rip it off the tee, though certainly you should favor the left side. The green is very

accessible if you stay clear of the front right bunker, but don’t miss long.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 3

Par 5

Long hitters need to be aware of the drainage ditch on the right side over the hill. Anything on the left side of the fairway is good. The small green is well protected by bunkers, OB and thick rough. A lay up to the middle of the fairway and short of the left side fairway bunker 100 yards from the green, gives the best access to the putting surface for the third shot.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 4

Par 4

A nice solid right to left shot starting up the right side of the fairway will put long hitters in a great position for the approach to this two tiered green.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 5

Par 3

The wind speed and direction for the day can change this par three from a short iron to a fairway wood off the tee. Make sure you use enough club. The left side bunker is more penal than the rough behind.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 6

Par 4

The toughest driving hole on the front. Hitting over the trees on the right brings the rough into play. Aiming down the left side brings the large trees into play. A good tee shot leaves you with an approach from around 150 yards. The green is well guarded by two bunkers, a steep slope to the right and a mound in back.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 7

Par 3

A solid tee shot to a very accessible green makes this a routine par three or even a birdie hole. Don’t let the water intimidate you. Back pin placement will bring large bunkers into play.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 8

Par 5

A tee shot over the hill makes this an easily reachable par 5 for the long hitters. If you are going to lay up, make every effort to reach the top of the second hill as this will give you a view of the green and bunkers, greatly simplifying the third shot.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 9

Par 4

One of the most difficult holes on the course, the tee shot demands precision as the fairway narrows the farther the ball travels and the long hitters can reach the hazard.  This is also necessary to help with the approach shot which requires a forced carry to an elevated green that runs away from the golfer.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 10

Par 3

Water, water, everywhere. A pond in front, a lake to the right and a stream to the left help to make this long par 3 the most difficult on the course. In addition, the green’s false front and sole bunker demands a correct club selection on the tee.

lakes hole 2

  lakes hole 11

Par 4

Another precise tee shot is required as the severely sloping left to right fairway brings the right rough and bunker into play.  The inevitable side hill lie for the second shot will encourage a left to right approach so be sure to evade the front right

bunker of this relatively flat green.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 12

Par 5

A definite three shot hole. Even for the long hitters the risk is too great to go for it in two. The second shot should favor the right side of the hill short of the fairway bunker. Anything that comes up short on the left will be blocked from the green by the tree line. The small green is well protected by the largest bunker on the course.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 13

Par 3

The depth of the green makes this par three very difficult to hit. Don’t miss long as anything over the green runs down the hill into healthy, thick rough that leaves a chip back to a green that runs away from you.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 14

Par 4

Long hitters will do better leaving the driver in the bag and anything on the left side brings rough, trees and bunkers into play.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 15

Par 4

The fairway slopes severely from right to left so favor the right side from the tee. Any drive long and left brings the trees and bunkers into play on the second shot. The flat green is very accessible from the fairway which makes this a good birdie hole.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 16

Par 5

With a tree lined fairway on both sides, precision is required off the tee. A long and accurate drive will make this par 5 very reachable in two; but come up short on your approach and greenside bunkers can turn that potential birdie in to a probable bogey.

lakes hole 2

lakes hole 17

 Par 4

A demanding finishing hole. The tee shot must clear the creek while avoiding the staggered bunkers left and right as well as trees. This will leave you with a middle to long iron uphill approach to a large green protected by the front left bunker.
