The Fairfax County Park Authority is pleased to announce the availability of all Rec Centers pools for Winter Swim Rentals for practice sessions beginning September 12, 2026, concluding May 23, 2027.
Fairfax County Park Authority has designated pool space for neighborhood summer pool swim programs, serving Fairfax County residents, to continue swimming through the fall, winter, and spring. This space serves 80+ swim programs across the county at our nine Rec Centers. Because of the high demand and limited availability of space, we have created a selection process that is equitable to all programs wishing to rent space. Pool Availability is detailed below, listing the specific days, times and number of lanes available at each of our nine Rec Center pools. The cost of lane rentals will be $30.77 per lane per hour.
Before applying, please take a moment to review and understand our Winter Swim Pool Rental Selection Process & Criteria. This information is critical to the application process.
Application must be filled out in its entirety, with a first, second and third choice. Please do not select times that you do not want, as your team may be awarded one of your three choices based on availability. If you wish to limit your choices you can repeat a choice, however this will limit your chance of getting pool space.
Applications must be submitted no later than 8 a.m., July 10, 2026. An email confirming receipt of your application will be sent within two business days. If you are submitting our application within 48 hours or the deadline, please feel free to call to confirm we have received your application.
Applications received after 8 a.m., July 10, 2026, will only be given secondary consideration, please reference Winter Swim Pool Rental Selection Process & Criteria for more explanation.
Rental letters along with the contract will be e-mailed to point of contact no later than July 31, 2026. Signed contracts along with the payment in full will be due to this office no later than 12 p.m. on September 1, 2026.
