Burke Lake Golf Center Rules

Park Authority employees and authorized volunteer staff have been trained and are obligated to enforce these rules and regulations. Failure to abide by these rules may also result in violators being ejected from the facility immediately and prohibited from future use of park property, facilities or services.

For the pleasure and safety of all our visitors, please be advised of Burke Lake Golf Center rules and policies.

Only players who have registered at the club house, their accompanying spectators, and FCPA staff are permitted on the golf course.
Formal golf instruction may only be provided by Burke Lake Golf Academy staff.
No children under the age of 5 will be permitted on the golf course.
Children between the ages of 5 and 8 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Spectators must register with the club house prior to walking on the course.
No open-toe shoes or sandals are permitted on the golf course. All players and spectators must wear closed-toe sneakers or golf shoes with alternative/soft spikes.
A maximum of 4 players are permitted in a group. Management reserves the right to combine individuals and smaller groups into foursomes.
Golfers must respect the golf course, facilities and its equipment. Violations of rules or careless behavior which damages either the course, the facilities or equipment may lead to loss of golfing privileges.
Golfers are responsible and liable for any property damage or injuries that result from golf balls they hit. All incidents should be reported to the club house immediately.
No pets of any kind, except those assisting individuals with disabilities or those working with park staff, are permitted on the golf course.
Walking, jogging, bicycling or other non-golf related activities are not permitted on the golf course or driving range at any time.
The possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages, except beer served under the control and supervision of Park Authority staff, is prohibited. The possession of beer is to be strictly confined to the areas approved by the Virginia A.B.C. Board, and is not allowed in the parking lot.
In the event of dangerous weather, golfers will be directed to leave the golf course and practice areas.
Lost and found items should be turned in to the club house staff as soon as possible. A lost and found record log is maintained for clubs and personal valuables.
Each player must have a bag and clubs to play the course. Sharing clubs from 1 bag is not permitted.
Range balls must be purchased and used the same day they are dispensed. Balls and their containers may not be removed from the park site. Hitting personal golf balls onto the driving range is not permitted.
Players are requested to repair ball marks, fix divots, and rake traps after each shot.
Players are requested to refrain from using profanity and/or abusive language. Management reserves the right to ask violators of this policy to leave the golf facility.
All players must be off the course before dark.
Players must maintain the pace of play as directed by the staff. Management reserves the right to remove slow players from the course.
