Burke Lake Golf Course

Position Title: Mulligans Grill Concession Attendant
Location: Burke Lake Golf Center, 6915 Ox Rd, Fairfax Station, VA 22039
Hours: This position is scheduled 4 days a week, including one weekend day. Shift lengths are generally 6-8 hours long.
Salary: Pay for this position starts at $15.00 per hour and may increase based on experience and certifications.

Duties Include: 

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons. 
  • Serve food and drinks.
  • Cook Hamburgers, Hotdogs
  • Operate a Fryer
  • Operate a cash register/point of sales system. 
  • Process both cash and credit card transactions. 
  • Clean tables, counters, and kitchen. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Position Title: Mulligans Grill Concession Manager

Hours: Year-round, part-time work. Shifts may start as early as 6 a.m. or end as late as 10 p.m.
Salary: Starting at $15-$17 per hour.

Overview: Looking for an eager and willing to learn individual who is responsible, friendly, and an excellent communicator dedicated to providing excellent customer service to all.

Duties Include: 

  • Selling memberships, food/beverage, and pro-shop merchandise.
  • Handling multiple phone calls and facility information inquiries.    
  • Demonstrating the ability to multi-task during high traffic operating hours.    
  • Maintaining cleanliness of front desk surroundings.    
  • Operating a point of sales (POS) system.    
  • Ability to be a team player and work well with others.    
  • Communicates effectively with staff, customers, volunteers, and front desk manager.  
  • Provides comfortable and inviting experiences for customers.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and resourcefulness when handling problems that may occur.

Greendale Golf Course

Salary: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour.
Hours: 20-40 hours/week, may not exceed 900 hours per calendar year.
Description:  Push mowing, operate small equipment including weed eater and blower. Weeding and mulching, landscaping and gardening. Raking sand bunkers, and debris removal.

Necessary Special Requirements:

Jefferson District Golf Course

Position Title: Manager on Duty
Location: Jefferson District Park and Golf Course; 7900 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
Hours: Hours vary depending on the season. Hours include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: Starting at $16.57 per hour.

Overview: Manager on duty with a variety of responsibilities to include opening and/or closing facility; conducting register close-out at end-of-day; and assisting customers in all aspects of golf course operation, including the pro shop and food and beverage department.

Duties Include:

  • Acts as manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Assists in managing the golf course tee sheet and point of sale system.
  • Assists in the food and beverage department by cooking food orders for customers.
  • Responsible for closing cash registers and completing nightly closing paperwork as the closing manager.
  • and opening the clubhouse facility and preparing it for the day’s business as the opening manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be available to work a combination of mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for an extended period.
  • Must be able to work as early as 5:00am and as late as 9:30pm.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Golf experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous food service experience preferred. This position will be required to obtain a food manager license
  • soon after employment begins.

Laurel Hill Golf Club

Position Title: Maintenance Worker
Location: Laurel Hill Golf Club; 8701 Laurel Crest Drive, Lorton, VA 22079
Hours: Shift times vary between 5:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., 20-40 hours/week.
Salary: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour. 

Duties Include: 

  • Push mowing using small equipment including weed eater and blower.
  • Weeding and mulching.
  • Landscaping and gardening. 
  • Raking sand bunkers, divot repair.
  • Benefit! Free golf based on level of capacity during the season.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be 18 years old or older, able to lift 30lbs, savvy in using hand tools (shovel, rake, weed eater, push mower, pruning tools etc.), able to work in most weather conditions (extreme heat/rainy days), and able to use a computer (internet browser).

Position Title: Closing Pro Shop Attendant
Location: Oakmont Golf Center, 3136 Jermantown Road, Oakton, VA 22124

Position Title: Beverage Cart Attendant
Location: Twin Lakes Golf Course. 6201 Union Mill Rd, Clifton, Virginia, 20124 
Hours: Hours vary including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: Starting at $12.00 per hour. Attendants may also work for tips. 

Overview: The person in this position operates a beverage cart on course during weekdays, weekends, and special events. The Beverage Cart Attendant sells beer, wine, soft drinks, water, hot dogs, and other drinks and snacks.

Duties Include: 

  • Drive beverage cart around either one or both courses, providing customers with drinks, food & snacks. 
  • Will be responsible to count outgoing and incoming daily inventory and reconcile both inventory and cash/credit sales at end of shift. 
  • Will process cash transitions and credit transactions using a remote credit card terminal and Ipad.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. 
  • Must have cash handling experience.
  • Customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous cash/remote credit terminal handling experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Previous experience handling food & beverages.
