Position Title: Assistant Chef
Location: 8701 Laurel Crest Drive, Lorton, VA 22079
Hours: Year-round, part-time work. Approximately 32 hours per week. Shifts include opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
Salary: Starting at $18.00 per hour.
Overview: Looking for eager and willing to learn individual who is responsible, friendly, and an excellent communicator dedicated to providing excellent customer service to all.
Duties Include:
- Under supervision, coordinates and participates in the activities of kitchen personnel engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food for consumption.
- Accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations.
- Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and assists in managing all food related functions.
- Supervises all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced.
- Must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. Also prepares food for special events including weddings and golf tournaments.
Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school or G.E.D. issued by a state department of education; plus one year of experience in the preparation in a small to medium size kitchen operation, specifically in food preparation.
Preferred Qualifications: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years’ experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.

Note: This position may not exceed 1560 hours per calendar year. Partial benefits are included with this position.
