Thank you for your group’s interest in volunteering with Fairfax County Park Authority. We have welcomed volunteer groups in many of our parks all across the county and would be happy to work with you to find a project that fits your group’s interests and location. Please know that most of our group projects are located outdoors, in our parks or on the grounds of our facilities (RECenters, Nature Centers and Historic Sites).

For planning purposes, we ask for 2-4 weeks advance notice, but we can sometimes accommodate groups on a shorter timeframe, depending on schedules and specific projects.
Spring and Fall are VERY busy seasons for volunteer group requests. Please allow extra time for scheduling events during the spring and fall seasons. We will not be able to accommodate groups on short timelines during that time of year. We appreciate all of the support from our volunteering groups and thank you for your interest in supporting the parks!
