Clemyjontri Park Open House

Experience the wonders of Clemyjontri Park at this returning Open House event that features enjoyment for all ages and abilities:

Sunday, Aug. 30, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Each guest will get a ticket for the carousel and trackless train as well as enjoy:

Arts and crafts
Community resource fair
Wonder Wagon Mobile Nature Center

Parking is limited but shuttle service will be available from Cooper Middle School (977 Balls Hill Rd, McLean).

Sensory-Friendly Family Trick-or-Treat

Celebrate Halloween in a calm, inclusive and sensory-friendly way at Clemyjontri Park (6317 Georgetown Pike, McLean).

Sunday, Oct. 18
11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Tickets: $20/trick-or-treater

Enjoy various accessible, fun activities:

Treat stations
Carousel rides
Train rides
Arts and crafts

Costumes are encouraged but not required. This event features reduced noise and sensory support.

Trick or Treat at Clemyjontri!

Children of all ages and abilities can have fun at Clemyjontri Park! The expansive playground features:

Ramps providing access to elevated play components and connecting structures
Swings with high backs, arm rests and special safety features
Rubber surfacing that allows wheelchairs to roll easily
Lowered monkey bars that provide easy access
Equipment designed to provide a sensory rich experience to all children
Wider openings that allow easy access to play structures

Other features include a carousel and a picnic pavilion. The entrance road leads to an 81-space parking area and a drop-off zone for vehicles whose passengers need close access. Future development will incude other amenities in the surrounding 10 acres of space. Please see rental information and make a reservation.

Admission

General Admission is free, however there is a daily fee for each participant and chaperone for commercial or nonprofit groups (including day care centers, martial arts camps, YMCA, church groups, etc.). $7 for Fairfax County residents, $12 for Non-County residents. This fee does not apply to families. Space is limited for commercial/nonprofit groups. Please make all group members aware of our Group Guidelines. Contact the park for reservations by calling 703-388-2807 or email the group coordinator at FCPAClemyjontriPark@fairfaxcounty.gov.

Clemyjontri's Carousel

Take a ride on an antique classic or enjoy a spin on a modern wonder! What better way is there to enjoy the day with your kids than to take a ride on a carousel? Enjoy the sights and sounds of our ride and let the rest of the world fade to blur.

Our carousel offers both undulating and stationary seating. Pay per child. The carousel opens for the season on April 11. Find details about hours of operation and purchase tickets below.

Train

All aboard Clemyjontri Park’s trackless train! Children can enjoy a ride around this unique park. The caboose car includes a wheelchair ramp for access.

The train runs on weekends, May 23-June 14, conditions permitting. Please call the park in advance at 703-388-2807 to see if the train is running. Purchase tickets per child, on site only (one adult chaperone per child).

Picnic Pavilion

The picnic pavilions are available for rentals. Picnic Pavilion reservations cannot be made at Clemyjontri Park. When not reserved, the shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional picnic tables are located on the property outside of the picnic pavilions, when the pavilions have been reserved.

Pavilions offer access to tables (including spaces for wheelchairs). Cantilevered tops and cut out areas allow easy wheelchair access. Pavilions offer access to water fountains, as well as accessible restrooms with baby changing tables.

Please protect your park and keep all food and beverages away from the playground equipment and surfacing.

Features of the Pavilion:

The shelter is aproximately 38' by 38', and holds six accessible tables to seat up to 48 individuals (including spaces for 16 wheelchairs).

Cantilevered tops and cut out areas allow easy wheelchair access for children and adults.

The pavilion offers both adult and accessible water fountains, as well as accessible restrooms with baby changing tables.

Two GFI duplex electrical outlets are provided for public/park use.

Please protect your park and keep all food and beverages away from the playground equipment and surfacing.
