Tim Carnahan is the Director of the Burke Lake Golf Academy and Head Professional. He is a lifelong golf lover and enjoys working with players of all levels. Tim has been a resident of Northern Virginia more than 40 years and began playing at Burke Lake Golf in the 1970s. Tim’s instructional philosophy is to build a player’s swing from the ground up, employing time-tested teaching techniques combined with modern technology to build his students a swing that can last a lifetime. In addition to teaching, Tim is a Certified Master Club Fitter. Tim utilizes FlightScope radar technology.

David Hallford is an experienced golf instructor and club fitter who enjoys working with all levels of players from beginner to advanced. Prior to teaching at Burke Lake Golf Academy, David was the Director of Golf at Colonial Country Club in Cordova, Tennessee. Colonial hosted the St. Jude Classic from 1972 until 1988 and was the site of Al Geiberger’s famous 59 in 1977. David has been a PGA Class-A member for over 20 years.

Luke Miller is a Class A Professional who is dedicated to growing the game of golf through teaching. He is passionate about helping people find their own unique swings through hard work and practice. Luke grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he started his golf journey under the guidance of another a PGA Professional who helped him reach his golfing potential. He enjoys teaching all levels of golfers and assisting them with reaching their golf goals.

Tod has been involved in golf for over 50 years. Upon his retirement from the Federal Government and private industry he worked in the golf industry at PGA Tour Superstore, S.C., Dick’s Sporting Goods, Laurel Hill Golf Club and Lansdown Resort in Virginia. His first official golf instruction position was with Quick Fix Golf at Tupelo Bay in 2020 and 2021. Tod has an extensive playing background and was a medalist in the 2018 Virginia Senior Qualifying Tournament.

Ross is a dedicated teaching professional with multiple certifications and extensive training. His lessons focus on the proper set up and mechanics for the short game, full swing, and mental aspects of the game. Ross makes the process of learning or improving an enjoyable experience with patience, explanation, demonstration, video analysis, specific drills and effective training aids. Most importantly, he provides the necessary tools to learn the game, overcome the many obstacles presented during a round to become a better player, shoot lower scores, and have more fun! Lessons offered for beginners to advanced players of all ages.
