Step by Step Instructions to Check Availabilities and Reserve Campsites

Please read all instructions before booking a site.

  1. Select your desired campsite along with the corresponding date and click on its green box.
    HINT: Available dates appear in green. Use the date selector or green double arrows to see future dates.
    HINT: Some units may not be web bookable. Please call the park for information regarding non web-bookable campsites.
  2. Click 'Reserve Unit' in the pop-up window.
  3. Log in with a Parktakes account, or create a new account with a work or personal email.
  4. On the Booking Details page, complete all applicable boxes in the “Extra Information” section.  All fields with an asterisk (*) are required.
  5. Please enter the maximum number of attendees for your stay. If you have more attendees than a campsite area can hold, you may need to book an additional campsite or change locations.
  6. After completing all information, check the box indicating that you agree with the terms and conditions.
  7. Select “Book Site”. Your shopping cart will appear.
    Optional: To make another reservation, select “Reservations” at the top of the Shopping Cart page.
  8. Review your cart and select “Go to Checkout.”
  9. Enter your payment.
  10. Select “Complete”
  11. A window will open verifying receipt of your reservation. You will receive an email with your receipt and a copy of the rules and regulations.

**Weekends include Friday-Sunday and holidays.  Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day require a minimum 3-night stay.

***Fee is for the first 20 people, each additional person is $9

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations/Changes more than 60 days before arrival can be made without charge by calling the park office
  • Cancellations/Changes 14-59 days before arrival will incur a $25 processing fee
  • Cancellations 2-13 days before arrival will incur a $25 processing fee and forfeiture of the first night’s stay
  • Cancellations 2 days or less before arrival will incur a $25 processing fee and forfeiture of the first two night’s stay

Camping Amenities

  • Potable water spigots (located at the bath house)
  • Bathhouse with sinks
  • Hot showers
  • Flushing toilets
  • Each site has a picnic table, fire ring/grill combo

Camping Rules & Reminders

  • Tent and Group camping is open April 1-November 30 only.  Tent camping is prohibited during off-season.
  • Click here for a list of camping rules and regulations.
  • Pursuant to Virginia Code § 10.1-1142, camp fires are prohibited between 12AM – 4PM from February 1 through April 30.
  • No outside firewood is permitted to be used or stored on FCPA property. Only wood bought at FCPA campgrounds is permitted to be used or stored on FCPA property

MAXIMUM LENGTH OF STAY

  • Our campground is a non-residential campground and has maximum stay restrictions.  These restrictions include:
  • A maximum of 14 consecutive nights (April 1 to November 30 or “In Season”).
  • A maximum of 28 consecutive nights (December 1 to March 31 or “Off Season”).
  • Seven (7) nights off-site required between visits.

To Sightsee, Ride the Rails

  • Metrorail is the quick and easy way to get to the attractions in D.C., suburban Maryland and Alexandria.
  • From Lake Fairfax Park, the closest metro stop is the Wiehle-Reston East Metro Station 
  • 1862 Wiehle Avenue, Reston, VA 20190
  • Please note, public transportation is not available from the campgrounds.
