Lake Fairfax- Go ahead and stay a while!

Lake Fairfax is a destination location providing 476 acres of parkland. You’ll find a wide range of family-friendly activities and the necessary facilities to make your visit to Lake Fairfax a memorable multi-day experience. Visitors can enjoy the Water Mine family water park, family and group campgrounds, a skate park, a pump track, several hiking and biking trails, and athletic fields. Lake Fairfax is also home to a wide variety of class, camps and special events.

To make things easier, camp registration will be split between two dates based on camp location.

For recreation and fun in western Fairfax, this 476 acre park includes a 20-acre lake with fishing, the Water Mine family Swimmin’ Hole, boat rentals, athletic fields, picnic shelters and picnic areas with grills, a playground, restrooms, campgrounds, trails, inline stake park and a skatepark.

The Water Mine Family Swimmin’ Hole features tubing on the Rattlesnake Lazy River, a tot pool at Tenderfoot Pond, slides, tunnels, and interactive play features designed for young children. The Water Mine is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

The campground, picnic areas , playground, trails and skatepark are open year-round. Virginia State fishing license is required, and sailboats, gasoline and electric-powered boats and swimming are prohibited in the lake.
