Patriot Park North Details and Nearby Amenities

Patriot Park North features two 60-foot fields and four 90-foot fields. As visitors enter the park, they will find the main concession area and a baseball-themed playground. Access the smaller fields as well as a warm-up field and cages behind the main concession area and along the pathways to the right. Take the walkway to the left to find the larger fields, Pressbox, small concession area and additional warm-up areas/cages.

Twin Lakes Golf Course: Enjoy a full day of golf with two 18-hole courses (par 71 Oaks Course and par 72 Lakes Course). Stop by the 36-station driving range that is open year-round (weather permitting). Warm up on the putting green and chipping area with a sand bunker to improve your play. Visit the clubhouse with a Pro Shop and The Lakes Grill Room.

Braddock Park Batting Cages: Nine cages feature softball and baseball at various speeds. Cages are available on a first-come, first-served basis. They also can be rented by making arrangements with the attendant on site. Purchase tokens for the cages on site.

Ellanor C. Lawrence Park: This 650-acre park features the Walney Visitor Center where you can learn about local natural and cultural history, see live reptiles and amphibians, and enjoy hands-on activities. Explore pollinator gardens, a historic kitchen garden, historic structures, pond, trails and picnic areas. See the nearby Cabell's Mill (5235 Walney Road, Chantilly) available for rent; and the Woodlands Stewardship Education Center (5301 Walney Road, Chantilly), a Living Building that offers interactive learning and inspires environmental stewardship — explore the multipurpose room, outdoor stage and amphitheater, and the STREAM (science, technology, recreation, engineering, arts and math) learning space in the Outdoor Observation Pod.

Stop by the athletic fields (5000 Stonecroft Boulevard, Chantilly). The suite of fields can be used for soccer, baseball and softball and include two rectangular, synthetic turf fields. This location also features a playground, trails and fitness stations along the trails.

Oakmont Rec Center, Oakmont Mini Golf and Oakmont Golf Center: Drop the Rec Center to exercise in the fitness room; swim in the Olympic-sized, heated, indoor pool with beach entry as well as diving areas; use the outdoor sundeck, outdoor soccer fields, dry heat sauna and drop-in childcare services; rent rooms for activities/events; and reserve courts to play racquetball, wallyball or handball. Have fun playing a round at the 18-hole, mini golf course. Visit the Golf Center (3136 Jermantown Road, Oakton) for its 9-hole, par-three golf course and lighted 78 station driving range with target greens and covered, heated tees.

Burke Lake Park: Everyone can find something fun tucked within this park's 888 acres. Find family-friendly fun riding the miniature train or carousel, picnicking, testing your skills on the mini golf or disc golf courses, indulging in a scoop of ice cream, enjoying boating or fishing from the marina, biking or walking the trails that include a 4.7 mile lake trail and camping.

Sully Historic Site: Visit historic buildings and grounds that are on the National Register for Historic Places, accredited by the American Association of Museums and is part of the National Park Service's Underground Railroad Network to Freedom. Cub Run Rec Center: Visit this community wellness center to take advantage of cardio and weight-training equipment, drop-in fitness classes, outdoor trails, drop-in childcare services, pool lap lanes and the Leisure Pool. The Leisure Pool, open year-round, is an indoor water park featuring water slides, water jets and sprays, lazy river, water play features and beach entry area.

Frying Pan Farm Park: Have fun exploring a working farm that portrays farm life of the 1920s to 1950s. Visit farm animals, learn about farm life, try hands-on educational demonstrations, shop in the country store, picnic, explore the trails and play on the playground. Enjoy a wagon ride, carousel ride and book time for your dog to enjoy running the indoor arena for extra costs, weather and space permitting.

South Run Rec Center: Come by the Rec Center to enjoy cardio and weight-training equipment; pool with beach entry area, springboards and lap lanes; outdoor sundeck; dry heat saunas and poolside spa; drop-in fitness classes; and racquetball/wallyball/handball courts. South Run also features an enclosed field house with a 160-foot by 100-foot synthetic turf playing field available for reservation as well as numerous outdoor fields, courts, trails and park areas to explore.
