Reach new heights with the Park Authority's indoor climbing wall. This two-story artificial rock wall challenges everyone from beginners to advanced climbers.

The climbing wall features auto-belays as well as a bouldering area for an additional challenge. The Park Authority provides harnesses, but individuals can bring their own harnesses. Staff will inspect and approve harnesses for use.

The climbing wall welcomes drop-in users when the Park Authority's trained attendants are available to supervise. Inquire about climbing at the front desk starting on Monday, June 23, fill out the Climbing Wall Participation and Release Agreement below and get climbing!

Those interested in climbing at Mount Vernon Rec Center must first fill out the Climbing Wall Participation and Release Agreement. Participants agree to follow all rules, regulations, and instructions as posted and directed by staff. This includes, but isn't limited to:

Participants must weigh a minimum of 30 lbs. (thirty pounds) and a maximum of 300 lbs. (three hundred pounds) to use the climbing wall. No exceptions.
Properly use all equipment, especially the auto belays.
Follow all safety procedures.
Do not wear any jewelry or excessively loose clothing and tie back long hair.

Please note that not following the rules may result in immediate removal from the activity and/or Rec Center. No refunds will be given.
