The only 4-H livestock club in Fairfax County, Hoofers and Heifers, works with the Frying Pan Farm Park animals at Kidwell Farm. Club members learn about sheep, cattle, goats, swine and poultry. The club focuses on basic animal science, livestock showmanship and leadership. Members participate in club and park sponsored events, county and state 4-H competitions, and livestock shows such as the annual Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival.
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Enrollment is open year-round.
