Tucked away in a remote river setting, Riverbend Park has more than 400 acres of forest, meadows and ponds. Trails include a 2.5-mile portion of the Potomac Heritage Trail that links national and regional parkland. Paddlers enjoy exploring islands in the Potomac River. Families and serious anglers bring boats or fish from the shady riverbank. Nature lovers from all around come for the highlights, including spectacular river views, beautiful wildflowers and birds. The park features a magnificent display of bluebells in the spring.
Riverbend Park has a visitor center with snacks, a gift shop, exhibits and riverside picnic areas. A picnic area and pavilion are available to rent through the Riverbend Picnics page.
