Scouts should review the official merit badge requirements before class. Requirements may change, so always check Scouting America or Scoutbook for the latest version.
Most merit badges are not designed to be completed in one session. Some requirements must be completed before class, and some may require additional work after class before a blue card can be signed.
Please Bring:
Scouts should be prepared to discuss and present completed prework during class. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay. Programs follow all Scouts BSA youth protection policies.
This program includes indoor and outdoor activities and is approximately five hours long. Scouts should dress for the weather, as portions of the program may take place outdoors.
The program covers requirements 1-11 for the Environmental Science Merit Badge.
Complete the following requirements before attending:
No additional work is required if all prework and in-class requirements are completed. Scouts who do not complete all requirements during the program may receive a partial completion and finish remaining requirements with a merit badge counselor.
This program includes discussion, activities and group participation and is approximately four hours long.
The program covers requirements 1-9 for the Sustainability Merit Badge.
