Burke Lake Park Scout Programs

Boy Scout merit badges are offered that fulfill most of the badge requirements. Certified merit badge counselors will work with your scout to fulfill the remainder of the badge activities.

Colvin Run Mill Scouting Adventures

Colvin Run Mill Historic Site offers Girl Scout, BSA Scout merit badge and Cub Scout programs. Troops are invited to sign up for prescheduled programs advertised in Parktakes or to call and schedule a time. Not all journeys or badges can be completed in one session. Cub Run Scout Programs

Cub Run offers Girl Scout, Scout BSA and Cub Scout programs. Troops are invited to sign up for scheduled programs advertised in Parktakes or to call and schedule a time that's more convenient. Ellanor C. Lawrence Park Scouting Adventures

Ellanor C. Lawrence Park offers self-guided Badge Packs for Jr. Girl Scouts, Brownies and Webelos, complete with badge requirements, suggested hikes, activities and natural history information. Packs are available for a $12 rental fee and may be reserved. Leaders can check out a pack and help their scouts earn a badge. For information and reservations, call 703-631-0013.

Frying Pan Farm Park Scouting Adventures

Frying Pan hosts programs for scouts. Troops are invited to sign up for prescheduled programs advertised in Parktakes or call and schedule a time for their troop to work on their badges. Not all badges can be completed in one session. Call 703-437-9101 for details.

Green Spring Gardens Scouting Adventures

Green Spring Gardens hosts scout programs in which scouts explore and learn in the park’s Horticulture Center, Historic House, Glasshouse, gardens and native woodland habitat.

Hidden Oaks Nature Center Scouting Adventures

Hidden Oaks naturalists offer a variety of scouting program, project and activity options for all levels, including Cub Scout and Webelo Adventures, Girl Scout Journeys and badge programs. Boy Scout merit badge programs fulfill most of the requirements. Certified merit badge counselors work with scouts to fulfill the remainder of the badge activities.

Hidden Pond Nature Center Scouting Adventures

Girl Scout and Boy Scout badge programs are available at Hidden Pond Nature Center. These programs are arranged and led by Hidden Pond staff and are conducted at the park site.

Huntley Meadows Scouting Adventures

Troops are invited to call and schedule a time to work on badges. Not all badges can be completed in one session. Programs are available on both weekdays and weekends and last approximately 1 1/2 hours. Programs may be shortened due to bad weather. Sully Historic Site Scouting Adventures

Sully Historic Site offers a variety of programs for Boy and Girl Scouts of all ages and interests, including cooking in an open hearth kitchen and learning to weave. These hands-on programs meet most scout requirements. Programs are one to two hours long and are offered on weekends and weekdays. The cost depends on the length of the class and supplies.

Turner Farm Observatory Park Scouting

Observatory Park at Turner Farm offers badges and Journey programs with an astronomy theme.
Fairfax Virtual Assistant
