Burke Lake Park- A Fairfax Tradition

Burke Lake Park has something for everyone tucked away in its 888 acres. Whether it’s riding on the miniature train or carousel, picnicking, testing your skills on the mini-golf or disc golf courses, indulging in a scoop of ice cream, taking in the sights from the tour boat, fishing, biking, boating, camping, or taking a walk around the 4.7 mile lake trail, Burke Lake is the perfect place to start your next family tradition. With so much to do you won’t want to leave and thanks to our campgrounds you can feel free to spend the whole weekend with us or even the week! When you visit you can also take advantage of the many family-friendly classes, camps, and special events.

Burke Lake Park Spring 2023

Welcome to Burke Lake Park! The Carousel and Mini Golf open April 1 and will only be open on weekends only. The Campground will open for daily reservations starting April 1st with the last night to camp being Saturday, October 28. The Train and Marina will remain closed until further notice.

The Park Authority's three lakefront parks are like the chocolate chips in a cookie — large chunks of nature in the midst of a generally suburban county, and they are ideal platforms for teaching about the outdoors.

Burke Lake Information Center

The Burke Lake Park Information Center is located at the entrance of the park once you pass through the gate, on your right hand side. The center can help you with the following: Maps (also available outside Information Center), Park/Trail Map, Picnic Area Map, Campground Map, Lake Depth Map

From Route 123 North
The park entrance is on the right. If you see the golf course then you have gone too far.
The golf course entrance will be the next right beyond the park entrance.

From Route 123 South
The golf course entrance is the first left off Ox Road (Route 123).
The park entrance is the second left off Ox Road (Route 123).
